Question: How long have you been here?
Answer: We have been established in Pocatello for almost 30 years! YUP! That's correct! There's a ZERO behind that 3! And...we have been successful for all 30 of them! WHY?? I'm going to tell you! We LOVE kids AND we love to teach kids the value and true enjoyment of good, and entertaining music.
Question: What are some of the things you include in your class?
Answer: Every child will have that opportunity to grow and learn the basics of correct vocal technique, rhythm, theory, pitch, harmonies, and lastly but certainly NOT least the ability to express themselves through song using the dramatic tools we teach them! BUT, even more important than those skills, WE have FUN while doing it! Our teachers can NOT be beat...anywhere! I truly do believe that, and those that have been part of our program can attest to that!
Question: How many performances do you have each year?
Answer: We have two major concerts each year. One is Christmas, and the other in the Spring, generally in May. Occasionally, we will have small performances during the holidays, or early spring. All concerts are FREE to the public!
Question: How often do you meet for class and how long are the classes? Answer: Pre-2nd grade students meet weekly for 45 minutes;
3rd-6th also meet weekly, for an hour.
Question: Do you audition your students?
Answer: Absolutely NOT! But you won't know that by listening to them sing. We will put our students up vocally next to any group in the city. We also feel that students should not have to compete to sing! All children should and CAN learn HOW to sing. There are few exceptions to that rule, but overall, ALL children will be included in TaVaci.
